Disaster Recovery for Home Owners, Renters, and Business Owners
The counties that have received a FEMA declaration for individuals and businesses are Cumberland, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, and York. It is important that the above people impacted by the April storms (the time period declared is 4/15-4/23) in these counties register with FEMA by July 9, if there is a possibility that they will need assistance.

The hours are 8 AM to 8 PM seven days a week
THE LAST DAY TO APPLY IS JULY 9.
They will need a phone number where they can be reached, their Social Security number, a list of damages and losses suffered in the severe storms of 4/15-4/23, their insurance company and policy number, and information for direct deposit if they don't want to wait for a check. If they are not sure about the extent of damages, they need to register anyway and then expand on the damages later.
If they apply now, there are disaster Recovery Centers (DCRs) open at the York County Community College in Wells, Portland Arts and Tech High School in Portland, Lincoln Communications Center in Wiscasset, and the Oxford County Court House in South Paris. Two or three day DRCs also are open in the area (Brownfield Town Office, 6/4-6/5. Union Town Office from 6/4-6/7. Boothbay Fire Station, 6/4-6/5. Rockland Court House, 6/8-6/12, and Damariscotta Police Department 6/6-6/7). These dates are fluid, depending on demand, but are good resources for working with SBA and FEMA, and other programs.
Work on Long Term Recovery Committee development has begun and an organizational meeting for York and Cumberland County will be held on 6/15. We continue to get reports of isolated damage in other counties as well. I'll be reviewing those in the near future All suggestions and offers are always welcome.
