from the assessor's office
The deadline for applications for Homestead Exemption, Farm Program, Veteran’s Exemptions and Blind Exemption for the 2008/2009 tax year is April 1, 2008.  If you have applied in the past, you do not have to submit another application.  Just click Town Government, then Assessor, download the appropriate application or pick up an application in the Assessor’s Office at Town Hall and return it to the Town Hall prior to April 1, 2008.  Please call or visit the office with any questions.

In spite of the current weather, Spring is almost here and it is time for me to follow-up on building permits and ongoing projects.  Also, as a result of computerizing the assessment information, I may be visiting properties when I have questions about information on the assessment cards.  It is impossible to make appointments in advance, so if you aren’t at home when I stop by, I will leave a card in the door if I have questions or need an interior inspection to complete my assessment.   If you have questions or concerns, please call the office, 499-7526.

                Michelle Boisjoly,
                Assessor
