The building inspector/code officer issues all building permits and does inspections to ensure that all buildings are constructed to the standards set forth in the Dayton building code, as well as checking to see that the requirements of the Dayton Zoning Ordinance are met.
The plumbing Inspector issues permits for subsurface wastewater systems as well as internal plumbing permits. They also do the inspections for the same to be sure that the plumbing complies with state code, and that the septic systems are installed as designed by the soil engineer.
