DAYTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Work Meeting
April 25, 2006
Several members of the Dayton Historical Society met at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Franklin Schoolhouse for a work night. Dick Sullivan, who had recently installed a flagpole, put up a new flag.
Members moved out desks, tables, a woodstove, a refrigerator, and other furniture items as well as trash. Some items went into storage pending renovations to the building’s interior. Other items will be disposed of or recycled.
It was decided to leave two large display cabinets in the schoolhouse, as they are too large to move out. A donated monitor heater was also left; it was suggested that Downeast Energy be contacted to see if they would donate the hook-up services.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 30. 6:30 PM at Harris Farm Ski Hut. Members will organize a bakesale for the upcoming June election day.
Respectfully submitted,
Valerie Cole
Secretary
Members Present: Bill Harris, Dick Sullivan, Bill Saltzer, John Coniaris, Amos Gay, Clark Cole, Valerie Cole
