Minutes from March 19, 2007 read and approved with one change (No meeting on April 16, not April 17.)
OLD BUSINESS:
Growth Ordinance Amendment: Rick asked about the issuing of building permits, Jim explained the process and the reason for changing the number issued within a time period (Section 5.C.4.)
Zoning Ordinance Changes: Section 5.2, Setbacks, page 31, Jim would like to change rear and side setbacks to 50 feet instead of 75 feet. This is a reflection of the increased size of many houses.
Rick asked about the Repeal of Municipal Timber Harvesting Regulation (Section 1.7); Jim explained that no one in the town offices has the knowledge to determine the size or value of a stand of trees so it is necessary to call in a tree-harvesting expert.
Public Hearing: A hearing is scheduled for April 25. The hearing will present the proposed zoning ordinance changes, the Future Land Use Map, and the Amended Residential Growth Ordinance. An ad will be placed in a local paper, notices will be posted around town, and Jim will ask Angela Cushman if it is possible to put a notice in the school folder.
Subdivision Packets: Derrick showed the work that he has completed on the subdivision packet, consisting of an application, checklist, copy of fees, future land use map, and a conditional use permit application.
Rick Ahearn and Jodie Ahearn, Mobile Home Park: No new information.
Linwood Acres Subdivision: No new information.
Shaw Brothers Gravel Pit: No new information.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM. Derrick motioned, Brian seconded, all voted in favor. There will be no meeting on April 16 as Town Hall is closed for Patriots Day. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 7, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall.
